Helping businesses tell the right story online
Trevor Hamilton is the founder of The Story Web Design & Marketing. He helps businesses build websites that tell the right story — one that supports local visibility, earns trust, and drives real growth.
His focus is on the structural side of digital growth: helping businesses move past the limitations of a standard website and toward a system built for clarity, performance, and the long term. His work covers multi-location website systems, local SEO, AI search visibility, website copywriting, Google Business Profile alignment, website governance, and revenue growth consulting.
Background
Before founding The Story, Trevor spent 22 years in sales and marketing — primarily selling technology hardware, software, and solutions. That career shaped how he thinks about websites today.
Selling complex technology meant learning how businesses make decisions, what builds trust quickly, and what quietly destroys it. It meant translating technical capability into outcomes the buyer actually cared about. Those skills carry directly into website strategy, where the hard part is rarely the design or the code — it’s making sure the website helps the business earn the right trust at the right moment.
Why He Started The Story
Trevor started The Story because he was tired of seeing good businesses with real expertise undermined by websites that looked unprofessional.
Every website tells a story. Often, that story is unintentional. A site that looks dated tells visitors the company is dated. A site that’s hard to navigate tells them the company is hard to work with. A site that doesn’t reflect who the business really is tells them the business doesn’t know who it is either. Too many good companies were losing trust before they had the chance to earn it.
The Story exists to fix that — first through web design, and now through a fuller set of services that solve the broader problems clients kept bringing to us.
